The Voyager 1 space probe has escaped the sun's heliosphere, bearing a golden record full of sounds and images from Earth. When it crashes into an alien vessel, its genocidal discoverers make haste toward Earth for a swift and efficient species-cleansing - only to discover their prey has already done their work for them.
